    About this opportunity:Our Volunteer drivers give people the opportunity to socialise and engage in some fun activities.
    Drivers use their own vehicles to provide a friendly journey and support people to and from their home and
    destination. The role involves elements of lone working and building a relationship with those you transport.
    Use your driving skills and friendly nature to support a local Community Club and help people to get out and about in
    your community.

    Fridays
    Saturdays
    Sundays
    Minimum age:18
    Maximum age:100
    Training provided:The volunteer will be working with a team of volunteers and staff who will support the volunteer. Royal Voluntary Service has a training website available for all volunteers. There are also workbooks available to anyone without access to a computer. .
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Volunteers can claim expenses incurred travelling to and from their duties. Drivers are re-imbursed at 45p per mile, we pay public transportation rates. Volunteers can claim weekly or monthly.

    Experience required:The volunteer will need to have a friendly personality and good communication skills, with a non-judgmental attitude towards an individual's circumstances and a willingness to ensure confidentiality. A full driving license is required. Expenses will be paid for all journeys undertaken on behalf of Royal Voluntary Service. Volunteers receive relevant training for the role and will be welcomed and supported by a friendly, local team.
